Itinerary

Day 1Airport Welcome and Transfer to hotel in Lima.

At your Arrival to Lima, Peru, a representative will welcome you. Our representative will guide you and transport you to your hotel for the day. Rest in your chosen hotel. You have some free time to explore during the day.

The Peru vacation packages Machu Picchu will just begin.

Day 2Paracas, Ballestas Islands and Huacachina Oasis

The hotel departure will be between 4:20 to 4:50 am. We’ll go to Paracas Boulevard. We’ll take a boat ride to Ballestas Island. 

We’ll observe geoglyphs, the old infrastructure of the guano extraction industry. As well as marine fauna and rock formations.

Back on land. We’ll walk through the Paraca boulevard and artisanal market. Then we’ll go to Ica. Where, we’ll have a vineyard experience with a wine and pisco taste test.

The Huacachina oasis is our next destiny. We’ll have the opportunity to practice some adventure sports there. 

Finally, we’ll go to a Cultural afro-peruvian immersive show. At the end of the day we’ll return to Lima. By 10:30 pm, we’ll be arriving at your hotel.

Day 3Flight from Lima to Cusco and Cusco City Tour

By the morning you’ll be transported to take your flight to Cusco. At Cusco a representative will welcome you and take you to your hotel. 

You can rest before our City tour. At 1:30 pm the city tour will begin. We’ll visit the Temple of the Sun in the city center. And all the important archeological sites around the city. 

During the tour, you’ll have guided tours to Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. You will gain insight into the Inca empire. Including knowing parts of the ancient Inca Trail (Puca Pucara).

This tour lasts 4 hours, after which you can explore the city more on your own. Rest early. Peru Ancestral Paths have more adventures for you in your Peru vacations.

Day 4Sacred Valley and Aguas Calientes

The hotel pick up will be around 6-7 am. We’ll hope on our private bus for a day full of the best of the Sacred Valley.

The first stop will be Chinchero. You’ll visit the colonial church, the agricultural terraces and the textile center. This town is picturesque and historical.

Moray will be our next destination. You’ll observe concentric cultural terraces. This was an ancient agricultural experimentation center. 

The Salineras or Maras Salt Mines are stunning. Their look is not only unique. The salt mines are from pre inca times and still in work.

For lunch we’ll have a delectable buffet at Urubamba town. This buffet will have traditional Peruvian food.

Our final destination for the day is the Ollantaytambo archeological site. This inca complex is one of the Sacred Valley best regarded places.

After the guided tour we’ll take the train to Aguas Calientes. At night, we’ll be staying at a hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5Machu Picchu

The main part of every Peru vacation packages Machu Picchu. After an early breakfast at the hotel  we’ll depart to Machu Picchu citadel (35 minute ride by bus).

We’ll have a comprehensive guided tour. You’ll explore the iconic and main locations in the citadel. Enjoy the amazing Inca structures and the natural beauty. Machu Picchu is a dream destination.

After the tour you’ll have the opportunity to explore on your own. If you book previously, you can climb the Hyauna picchu (75 USD extra per person).

For midday we’ll be returning to Aguas Calientes. We’ll board the evening train to Ollantaytambo. From there we’ll go back to cusco in private transportation.

This day also includes hotel transfer.

Day 6Lake Humantay Tour

At 4:30 am we’ll begin our journey by bus. After 2 hours we’ll arrive in Mollepata town to have breakfast. Then continue for one more hour on the bus.

The ascent to Humantay Lake offers some incredible views. The hike takes one hour  until reaching the lake. There you’ll have one of the best vistas in Peru. 

The descent takes an hour back to the start of the trail. For lunch we’ll return to Mollepata. And from there, we’ll return to Cusco by 6 pm.

Day 7Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca Tour

At 4 Am we’ll begin the hike of the day. Again we’ll embark on a bus ride until reaching the town where we will have breakfast. And again we’ll continue after until the trail head.

The Hike to Rainbow Mountain takes about 2 hours and 4 kilometers (2.48 miles). You will experience amazing vistas of the Andes. The colors of the mountain makes it a perfect location for photography. 

After reaching the summit, you’ll be able to explore and take pictures. Then we’ll take the detour to the Red Valley for some extra vistas. 

After the descent we’ll hop on the bus to return to Cusco. We’ll make a stop to Have lunch in a local restaurant. We’ll arrive at cusco by 5 pm.

At night you’ll take the overnight bus from Cusco to Puno at 10 pm.

Day 8Titicaca Lake

You’ll have a reception at the bus station at around 6:30 am. From there we’ll embark on a boat ride. Our destiny is the Island in the Lake Titicaca. 

First, the Uros floating islands, made with totora reef. You not only will learn about life on these artificial islands, but you’ll learn about the Uros people. 

Then, we’ll visit Taquille Island for around 3 hours. We’ll explore and have lunch here. We’ll get to meet the community and its textile traditions. 

The visit will end by 2:30 pm. By 5:00 pm we’ll be back at Puno.

You can arrive earlier to Puno by choosing a faster motor boat. Also the Tour includes transportation to the Bus Station or to a hotel (In case you decide to stay on Puno). 

You’ll board the overnight bus back to Cusco.

Day 9Bus Station Pick Up and Airport Transfer

We’ll pick you up from the Bus Station once you arrive at Cusco. From here we’ll transport you to the Airport as the end of our services.
