Useful Information

Information

Before the Machu Picchu 2 day tour by car, consider these tips for a smooth trip:

  • Ideal tour months are from April to October. This period offers drier weather, enhancing your experience at the archaeological site.
  • Be aware, the journey involves winding roads and varied altitudes. Prepare for potential altitude sickness by staying hydrated and moving at a steady pace.
  • Also during January and February the rain can negatively impact the state of the road. Blocking completely the route for days. We recommend not booking for those months.
  • Safety is paramount. Follow your guide’s instructions at all times. Ensure you have travel insurance with medical emergency coverage. Also look for one  that covers high-altitude trekking.
  • Limitations include restricted access to certain areas within Machu Picchu to preserve the site. Stick to marked paths and respect all site regulations.
  • Always carry your passport, especially during the visit to Machu Picchu. You’ll need your ID to enter.
  • Plan your Machu Picchu by car adventure with these guidelines in mind for a memorable and safe experience.
