Really early in the morning we’ll take you to the impressive Pallay Puncho or Pallay Poncho mountain. Hotel pick up will be at 4:00 am. Our private transport will take us into a 2 and a half hours ride.
We’ll reach Sicuany town, where we’ll have breakfast. After this nutritious meal, we’ll keep going until reaching the community of Layo. In Layo, the Layo lake will be waiting for us.
The trail starting point is a little further than the town. The hike will be extremely steep. It will take from one and a half hours to two hours. During the ascent you will have vistas of the Apu Tqllo and Pallay Puncho mountains.
We’ll arrive at the Rainbow Mountain Pallay Punch. Reach the top, here you have an amazing view of Layo Lake.
Here you’ll witness a mountain of colors. Here you will have ample time to explore and take pictures. Do not forget to rest before the descent.
The descent tends to be easier on the visitors. Returning to the trailhead, we’ll take the bus. We’ll make a stop to allow you to enjoy Layo Lake.
We’ll travel the way back to Cusco. In Sicuani we’ll have lunch before continuing our way back home. We’ll arrive at Cusco around 8:00 pm.
