Itinerary

Day 1Cusco Arrival and City Tour

The day of your arrival, we’ll be there to receive you at the airport and take you to your hotel.  You’ll have some time to rest and prepare for the first tour of your Cusco Vacation Packages.

At 1:30 pm we’ll go on a city tour to the main attractions in Cusco. A guide will be with you the whole time. Each place will be explained to you in an engaging way.

Korichancha or the Church of Santo Domingo  will be the first destination in the city center. In Inca times this was the most important religious center of the Empire, the Temple of the Sun. During the colonial invasion, a church was built on top. Now the Coricancha stands as a unique example of colonial architecture with Inca fundations.

Sacsayhuaman is the first site outside of the city. This is an impressive archaeological site. Probably it was a place related to fertility and abundance.

Near Sacsayhuaman we’ll encounter Qenqo. This was a ritual place with ceremonial altars. Puca Pucara is a tambo (a control and resting place for the ancient inca trail).

Finally we’ll explore the ceremonial center of Tambomachay. This was a religious site dedicated to water.

After the 4 hours of tour, we’ll take you back to your hotel. Rest well for the night on your hotel.

Day 2Tour in Sacred Valley.

Our tour to the Sacred valley will begin early. The Pick up in your hotel will happen around 6 to 7 am.

Our first destiny will be the town of Chinchero. The town is famous for the beautiful colonial decor on a church with Inca foundation. We’ll observe agricultural terraces (abundant in the Sacred Valley) and a textile demonstration at the textile center.

We’ll arrive at Moray to visit the ancient agricultural experimentation site. A place where the incas developed crops experimenting with agricultural terraces at different altitudes. These structures prevail till this day as impressive circular terraces.

Maras Salt mines are our next destiny. These impressive salt mines are different from everything. You’ll witness canyon walls covered in carved pools of salt. This is also a living legacy from pre-inca times.

We’ll take a pause in Urubamba. Here, we’ll enjoy an amazing buffet lunch with Peruvian food. Everything will contain local ingredients.

After this amazing meal, we’ll go to the Ollantaytambo archeological site. Here you will enjoy a guided tour around this impressive site. From here, we’ll go to the Ollantaytambo Train Station.

The train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes is a scenic experience. You will spend the night in Aguas Calientes. We’ll of course take you to your hotel.

Day 3Machu Picchu Visit

This day, your Cusco Vacation Packages will get to the main point. We’ll begin with breakfast at the hotel. We’ll take the bus to the Machu Picchu citadel. There our Machu Picchu tour will start.

During this guided tour you’ll discover one of the most impressive sites in South America. Your Machu Picchu tour will give you an overview of the main sites of the citadel. You will visit all the main sites.

At the end of the guided tour you’ll have free time to explore to your own liking. If you book in advance (75 UDS extra cost per person) you can use this time to climb the Wayna Picchu. This mountain will give you the most spectacular views.

Around midday, we’ll return to Machu Picchu Pueblo or Aguas Calientes. You will have time to go for lunch to one of the restaurants in the city (not included in the price).

For the return to Cusco, you have to be at the train station 30 minutes before your departure time. The return to cusco will bring you again to the Ollantaytambo Train station. Then we’ll take in a bus ride to Cusco. You will arrive at your hotel after an hour and 45 minutes.

Day 4Humantay Lake Hike

Our next adventure will take us on a journey to one of the prettiest places on the Andes. The hotel transfer will be around 4:30 am.
We’ll travel to Mollepata town for 2 hours on our private transportation. In Mollepata we’ll have breakfast. There, we’ll go to the Soraypampa bus station.
The Humantay Lake hike will begin. During the walk we’ll see the Salkantay and Humantay Snow-capped Mountains. These were sacred mountains for the Incas.
The ascent to the Lake takes about an hour and a half. After this 3 km (1.86 miles) walk we’ll reach the anticipated Humantay Lake. If you want to have a lighter trek, you can contract a horse on the site.
Humantay Lake, with its turquoise waters, is a feat for the eyes. In the lake you will have time to explore and take pictures.
Our group will return to Soraypampa. The return is easier, taking around one hour.
On the return trip from Soraypampa to Cusco, we’ll take a stop in Mollepata for lunch. We’ll be arriving in Cusco at 6:00 pm. Again, we’ll take you to your hotel.

Day 5Rainbow Mountain And Red Valley

Our next adventure will be a  Rainbow Mountain hike. The pick up will happen around 4:00 am. We’ll be traveling by bus for 2 hours to Cusipata. Where we’ll have breakfast.

We’ll continue traveling for one hour more. Our hike will take around 2 hours. The steep paths and the rugged terrain adds an element of adventure to the trip. This 4 km (2.49 miles) hike will take us to the summit of the Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca.

In the summit, you’ll have time to take pictures, explore and soak the andean ambiance. Before returning to the trailhead, we’ll visit the Red Valley.

This is a 30 minute walk that takes you to other landscapes. Here you will encounter animals and nature in a gorgeous background.  After this extra walk, we’ll start the descent.

Our lunch will be on a Stop at Cusipata. We’ll be heading back to Cusco, arriving by 5:00 pm.

Again, we’ll leave you at your hotel. You can rest for the day. Our Cusco Vacation Packages are near the end.

Day 6Airport transfer in Cusco

On your last day, we will transfer you to the airport or land terminal from your hotel. This will mark the end of your adventure with Peru Ancestral Paths. We will ensure that your experience in Cusco has been memorable.

Useful Information

Sempre carregue identificação e informações do seguro saúde.
