Useful Information

Information

The tour explores the Valle Sagrado de los Incas, a region rich in Inca ruins and history. The tour starts early from Cusco and covers several archaeological sites, so prepare for a full day.

The best time to visit the Sacred Valley is during the dry season, from May to October. During these months, the weather is clearer and paths are less slippery.

Always check the weather before your tour and dress accordingly. Also pack some layers just in case.

Since the Sacred Valley is at high altitude, with Cusco at around 3,400 meters (11,150 ft) above sea level. However in the Sacred Valley the lowest point we’ll visit is at 2,871 m (9,419 ft). Maybe it is a good idea to acclimatize to the altitude in the Sacred Valley.

Safety is key, so listen to your guide, especially at archaeological sites. The paths can be steep and rocky. Ensure you have travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking.

For this tour, you can acquire the Boleto Turistico del Cusco. A pre-pay entrance to a lot of Archeological sites in the Cusco Region. You can buy the complete one with a 10 day duration at 35.5 UDS, or the 2 day duration at 19 USD.

Finally, the price of your Sacred Valley Tour does not include tips, personal expenses, or meals other than lunch. Plan accordingly to enhance your experience in the Valle Sagrado de los Incas.
